20131014 opendoorThe purpose of Open Door Baptist Missions is to promote the work of Christ in regions that have been closed to the Gospel or that presently have little or no Gospel witness. We strive to accomplish this task while the Lord has set before us an open door. (Revelation 3:8)
This is done through the collective support of local churches. We stand ready to help fundamental, Bible-believing churches place their missionary candidates on the field of God’s call.
It is our desire to give the Gospel to those who have never heard. We endeavor to partner with those who are already laboring in the harvest fields and help train those who will be the leaders of tomorrow.

Monthly Missionary Updates

► In June, Ryan & Jennifer Horkavy and their family spent precious time in CA with Ryan’s brother Josiah before his homegoing in July. While battling cancer, God gave Josiah numerous opportunities with doctors, nurses, campers, and others to testify of His saving grace. Pray for God’s grace and comfort for the Horkavys as they regain their strength to focus on the church ministry in Buckeye, Arizona.

►Recently, Scott & Shelley Krystowiak reminded us in their update to walk circumspectly. Many that they minister to in prisons throughout the USA have made poor decisions resulting in their suffering consequences. The Gospel has changed many of these lives giving them a new hope and direction. The MTC Bible Institute continues to grow. Over 400 have enrolled in the program.

From the Director

In Matthew 8:10, Jesus meets a centurion in the city of Capernaum. Upon hearing of the centurion’s plight that his servant lay at home sick of palsy and grievously tormented, Jesus responded immediately saying, “I will come and heal him.” With humility and complete faith the centurion responded, “But speak the word only and my servant shall be healed.“ Stop and ask yourself do I exercise this type of centurion-like faith daily? Our Lord recognized this extraordinary faith in verse 10, “… I have not found so great faith, no not in Israel.” During the past several months ODBM missionaries, the Burgets and Keisers in Puerto Rico, and the Horkavys in Arizona, have experienced the pain of death of loved ones. Difficult times provide opportunities to honor and glorify our Father with faith in the One who loves us with an everlasting love and saves us from eternal damnation.
