The purpose of Open Door Baptist Missions is to promote the work of Christ in regions that have been closed to the gospel or that presently have little or no gospel witness. We strive to accomplish this task while the Lord has set before us an open door (Revelation 3:8). This is done through the collective support of local churches.
We stand ready to help fundamental, Bible-believing churches place their missionary candidates on the field of God’s call. It is our desire to give the Gospel to those who have never heard.
We endeavor to partner with those who are already laboring in the harvest fields and help train those who will be the leaders of tomorrow.
Monthly Missionary Updates
► John & Karen McPherson in Grenada are excited to have nationals, Tyrron & Nadin back from college. Tyrron has adjusted well to his life as a student and has grown spirituality and in understanding. Pray for the Lord’s provision for the school year of 2016-2017. Their daughter Tahira has delayed speech and may need help learning to express herself verbally. Sunday morning attendance has increased.
► The basis of Scott & Shelley Krystowiak’s US Prison ministry, More Than Conquerors Bible Institute (MTCBI) is discipling others so that they can pass on to others the principles and doctrine of God’s Word. They are currently developing a distance learning educational program with ODBM for foreign missionaries, national pastors, and inmates using DVD courses from Calvary Baptist Seminary.
From the Director
“…This is an evil generation: …For as Jonas was a sign unto the Ninevites, so shall also the Son of man be to this generation.” (Luke 11:29-30) Although I have read the gospel of Luke many times over, this passage stood out so blatantly to me three weeks ago. Recently, we have seen wickedness all around us, the falling away from Christ-centered life style, the transgender government mandated bathroom issues, and increased societal violence. All of which have made me see more clearly the progression of evil in these times, similar to the days of Noah. (Genesis 6:5) Just as Jonah was used of God to warn Ninevah of their impending doom, God through His love sent Jesus Christ to do likewise. Our missionaries in 15 countries have been given the task to warn those around them of the impending doom, the consequences of their unrepentant sin, and offer the free gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ.
